Default MEMOREX BLU-RAY CLEANER DISC brushless

Blu-ray Disc players, like any other optical disc playback device, need to be cleaned sometimes to provide you optimum performance. Maxell unveiled at CES this week a new cleaning device with which to do that. It's called the Blu-Ray/HD DVD Lens Cleaner and it should be available in March for around $25.

The Blu-Ray/HD DVD Lens Cleaner uses something Maxell calls a "Wind Funnel Cleaning System." This system kicks in when the cleaning disc is put into the player. It "rotates and generates an air stream in a spiral motion and that air stream then changes to air shower on the lens when it passes through the holes. The power of the air shower removes dust particles on the lens without damaging the surface of the product."

"As technology expands, proper care is needed to prolong the life and
quality of products that consumers have invested in," said Gordon
Tetreault, director of sales and marketing for Maxell's accessory products.
"The new Blu-Ray Lens Cleaner will ensure you can enjoy the very best your
media has to offer by delicately removing excessive build up and residue
which can tarnish the viewing experience and even damage a player
    completely."

Can it help?? ................Being brushless it can't hurt.

I've never used one either. Not sure if they really work or if its just something that is useless to spend money on.

    WTF?

If anyone buys this thing, well, they deserve it.
