Arrow Hdmi cables: Which is the best cable for you?

But Torrent SureConnect HDMI cables outperform both discount HDMI cables and high-priced HDMI cables by offering innovative new features which help overcome the problems with interference, the troubles with longer HDMI cabling runs, and the well-documented issues with HDMI's connector specification. What kind of issues exist with the HDMI specification, you ask? These quotes from two top industry experts explain:

“the HDMI interface..was designed for much thinner cable, lighter in weight.. the weight of the cable pulls the connector out”
—CEPro, The Installer's Guide to HDMI

“One of the main sources of HDMI headaches is the connection. Unlike most other cables, HDMI has no locking mechanism to hold it in place.”
—Steve Venuti, President of HDMI Licensing, LLC

I was a Monster boy in the beginning spent hundreds on their cables / Tos, speaker wiring, power supplier. The only thing nice about these newer cables are their coupling mountings not everyone need them but if your system is in a not so easily accessible place it's nice to know your cable will not loosen and possibly break a connection. I'm sure that MONOPRICE will follow suite with a similarly equipped cable shortly.

I'm sure as well that monoprice and other companies will follow, but wouldn't allowing for more cable fix that??? I mean instead of having a ten foot cable that is super tight, get an 11' cable and allow a little play, so that it's not putting tension on the cable to pull...

I agree House I'd rather have the extra cable as one that is barely long enough and I can afford to do that because I buy all my cables from

I never ADVOCATED using a cable that was barely long enough I always order a cable that is ample in length What I was indicating was that I would use a cable that locks in place securely just for that added ounce of confidence in my connection, at a reasonable cost, which is what I expect Monoprice will also make available, as they are always up on the game in providing the best for less.

Let me correct that in order for it to be backward compatible you would need to order the HDMI-IMDH cable from WWW.Monoprice.com
