Since I can't find an "other" technology section, I'd figure I'd post this here.

I moved it into the Mobile Tech thread. As for other things that you can't find a category for, just use the general hi def talk. This could of gone there since it's news also...

That phone does look sweet!

I've heard it's going to have video phone calls also. If two people have this phone they can talk via video.

I have also heard that apple is working on a new iphone and discounts on the 3g model are comming soon, maybe second quarter for att. Inside info from a rep buddy of mine. He also spoke of video calls as well. nothing said about HD resolution.

I wonder how big video calling is going to be though. Its proven to be a flop so far with the pricing and limitations of the 3g network. Over here its 50p a minute and you end up with a pixelated mess that is difficult to make out unless the person stands still!

well it should have the cap. not really the mainstream. but if anyone can make it work it will be apple or they will scrap it. they take as much time as needed for R&D. unlike microsoft does, TURN IT LOOSE TO THE USER THEN WE WILL FIX THE BUGS WE MISSED IN BETA.

My wife just purch. a new IPhone today, her first 8GB for 100 bucks, dude told her new phone soon, so my inside guy was right, about second quarter for at&t.
