We're watching the first World Cup game on DIRECTV in 3D on 3 3D HDTVs. In our showroom we have Samsung's UN55C8000, PN58C8000 and Panasonic's TC-P58VT25 and the game looks great! Very cool and exciting.

    Enjoy!

    Hi Robert,

Can you report on which one is handling the motion the best? Is it really true that the plasmas and esp. Panasonics just fare better in that regard? What about picture clarity? Any issues there?

    Yours,

    David

Yes motion judder is less noticeable on the plasma. The LED is brighter, which looks good, but the overall pq is better on the plasmas. We also have a few high-end 2D HDTVs on and I am surprised to say the overall pq on the 3D panels looks better, sharper and brighter. I assume Sony peaked the performance and calibrated their new 3D studio cameras to deliver the best possible picture. The 3D effect is assume!

Isn't it awkward wearing 3d glasses all day long...????

Actually I do not mind the glasses. They are light and have soft rubber noise pads. We only ware them while we're watching 3D, which is typically an hour or so.

hi Robert...so do you experience any eye strain..or the sort? I've seen there's a large price range on the glasses also...

That does it! I'm going up to Robert's shop next Friday to check this stuff out for myself. I can no longer restrain my desire for a hands-on comparative analysis of these different TVs. Any special requests people have for what they'd like me to test while I'm there, please PM me. I'll bring my video camera, too.
