XBOX @ E3!

Well Xbox did what it needed to do. Showed a whole slew of games. My highlights were Killer Instinct (How did they keep this quiet?), Ryse, and Sunset Overdrive.

Price was also announced. $499.00 with a November release date. Thoughts on the conference today?
Apple iOS 7!

It's out and it looks like a cross between Android and Windows Phone. Also, Siri has been integrated with Twitter, Wikipedia, and (get this) Bing! Very interesting...

What do you all think?
Review: Panasonic TC-P60VT60

Panasonic's new VT60 series has been making quite a splash, both in the AV forums and at Cleveland Plasma, where owner Chris has lost count of the questions about how the VT60 differs from last year's incredibly good 50 series. He had one sent over so I could spend some time evaluating this new gem.
The VT60's screen has a very impressive ability to maintain

REVIEW - AirFlex5D Projection Stacking Processor
Introduction

The biggest drawback to front projection setups is that they typically need to be installed within an environment that some or total control over ambient light. Over the years projection companies have tried their best to combat issues stemming from ambient light concerns by either a) making their projectors brighter, or b) developing ambient light rejecting screens. While ambient light rejecting screens do work, they’re not a cure all. It’s true
A former colleague of mine recently reminded his readers (in what I think was a jab aimed at me) that I once famously said, “the industry isn’t going to sell 4K, 50-inches at a time.” What he was referring to was a comment I made following this past January’s CES show in Las Vegas, where UltraHD/4K was on full display -though mostly via one-off displays that no real

Amazon TV Set-top Box!
Amazon tried to buy Roku rather quietly last year, which didn't really pan out. So Amazon is reportedly building their own set-top box to compete with Apple TV, Roku and Boxee. Naturally this will only work with Amazon's streaming services.

"Amazon (AMZN) is making e-readers and tablets and will likely soon introduce a smartphone. As it works to build all types of connected devices, that leaves a natural next step: a television set-top box. The e-commerce giant is planning to introduce a device this fall dedicated to streaming video over the Internet and

They also run the gamut in terms of price, which isn’t always comparable to the level of performance, power, etc. that they produce. This is no doubt why many contest the “value” of so-called high-end amplifiers, for how much better can one amplifier
