what are you guys thoughts about the new Amazon Kindle Fire tablet?

Man, We think it's going to be huge (Even created a forum for it). I think parents who's kids have been wanted an ipad for a long time but couldn't afford it, will buy one. It could be the biggest Christmas gift this year!

Well you know Apple is going to come back with guns blazing.That will be the one to go for if you have the cash,if not this will probably be your best bet.

I have a new iPad and it's great, but just a little too big and heavy for reading...the new FireKindle is perfect..

I'm a big fan of the regular Kindle models. I think the Fire will be very successful but it has one serious problem. Android. That will keep me from ever purchasing one.

While I know that statement will draw some ire from Android fans out there. It's just flat out horrid compared to iOS. The lady and I switched from AT&T to Sprint a couple of months ago and my lord... Owning an Android Phone after an iPhone for 3 years is just awful. Android has a long long way to go to catch up.

Not to mention that reading on a LCD sucks, I've tried it on our iPad.

Love the new regular kindle updates though.

I don't think its near a direct competitor for the ipad. I do like it so far, the 7" screen and overall size is ideal for one and two handed typing. It is a bit buggy still, at least the apps are. I'm sure that will improve over time. Also nice it has gorilla glass.

I gotta say my big beef right now is the keyboard. I can type more accurately with my two thumbs on the small iphone keypad better than I can the fire. They need to do some work in that dept. Plus, the apps like tapatalk have some bugs too, they need to get on the ball.

The cursor, when trying to move it around screen, is way too sensitive, work is needed here.

Every Android device I've used needs serious work in that area. For whatever reason Apple's touch screen keyboards are far better.
