That camera has now raised the bar! From all that I've read, it is INCREDIBLE. Now I'm hoping Canon announces the new 5D MK III

I don't know if it for me... Few more MPs over my mark4 but I lose 1.3 mag factor. I like field sports and golf.. reach is important.

What most likely to happen is that I sell my 5d.. Keep the mark4 ,and get an X.. So have 2 one series cams that share things like batteries etc..

why they put that little ole 50 1.4 on is beyond me.. 5d with a 85 1.2 looks miles better.

Agree. Better yet, a nice BIG 24-70 or a nice Prime..

I think that picture has been photoshopped. There are NO REAL pics or news about the new 5D MK III

I think that a Nikon rebadged, as there is a rumor of Nikon releasing a D800 with 36 MP's, sounds like a rebadged Canon....They must have swapt engineers.
I'm happy with what I currently have.

no kidding.. Canon combining 1 series cams and going for "only" 18MP.. while Nikon's rumored D800 has 36MP.. strange times indeed. Anyways Nikon hit it out of the park with the D3 and improved slightly with the D3s noise wise... I think my MarkIV focuses better in my testing but the low noise of the D3s was nice, but not enough for me to switch my lens systems...either was 12MP.

That Canon is still very nice, but now worth the $7000 in my book.

I know what you mean. I'll be looking hard at the new Nikon's whenever they come out with the true specs.
