Default Need some advice on models

I currently have some older sony's that loop over my ear, they are for sporting and I wear them on bike rides. Since Im riding a lot now, and have my iphone mount on the bike, I would prefer a pair that works well with the iphone for volume adjustment and even song skipping if possible, as well as being well attached to the ears since Im out riding.

Im not looking for some super expensive audiophile one's either, Im just figuring $50-100 if those exist because they are gonna get dirty and damp.

I listened to so many before Christmas time I can't remember if I listened to those one's or not. I do know you might want to check out some Sennheiser's or definitely some Grado's. Here is a link to some more budget friendly Grado's LINK. I can honestly say though that I never listened to a pair of Klipsch headphones I didn't like, but I felt the same about Grado's too.

Thanks. Ive owned Sennheiser and loved them for over the ear. The Grado in ear dont seem to have a more sport orientated selection and no iphone/pod controls or phone answering. FOund a couple of good versions in the Sennheiser/Adidas brand that are sweat proof and about $60. They have a lot of reviews on Amazon and the score is lower so I may stick with those outdoor Klipsch.

You can't go wrong with the Klipsch, like I said I haven't heard a bad pair yet. I would tell you to check out the Paradigm ear buds as they have Ipod controls but they are $130 and don't appear to be available on line, which is just stupid I mean they can't even allow websites to sell their earbuds??? I mean come on, like people are going to make a two plus hour drive for freaking ear buds!!!!

The Klipsch are getting a lot of negatives because of that big remote jumping around while running. I like the big remote because I dont have to take my eyes off the road, and if the supplied clip doesnt work well I can modify it. A lot of guys running are using the clip, and it wont get bounced around biking like it does running.

I like the over the ear sennheiser, but most of the bad reviews are because the ear clips dont fit well and thats no good. Ill order the Klipsch today and try them out Tues when I get them.

I'm searching for fitness phones too. I've got an iPhone 4 with the endomondo app. I'm closer to a power walker than runner lol. Those Klipsch look slick and hopefully at $60 they sound great.

I was lookin at this page: http://www.headphone.com/selection-g...se-running.php

Was thinking about the Sony pair, because they can be found for $20. But the Sein/Adidas and the mid level Polks are tempting in the $50+ range.

I've seen a lot of folks with that app. I have mapmyride and mapmyrun. The ride app matches perfectly with my bike computer, but I just use it.

Yeah it's a great free app. About to purchase the pro version for $4, to open up the extra features even though it's perfectly usable in the free lite version.

This might sound silly but have either of you guys tried out the monoprice earbuds?? I bought some for $5 and I gotta say after having them I find it hard to spend $50-$100 on a pair of ear buds. Do the mono price sound as good as the klipsch?? "NO" but IMHO the klipsch and other's don't sound $55+ better than the monoprice. For the price you guys should at least try them out, I mean it is only pocket change.

EDIT, looks like they don't carry the ones with Ipod control anymore.

I rode about 9 miles with the Klipsch today. Loved em. Sound good, block wind better than my other pair and it's just nice being able to jump songs and adjust volume without messing with the phone. Very cool. Also fit in the ear well, and I'm not someone that generally likes buds.

I've always been a fan of Shure headphones. I've never tried the Klipsch ones though. I've never been a fan of their speakers, much too harsh for my ears.

I have to say I enjoy my Klipsch Image X10i In-Ear Headphones a whole lot better than my Shure 340s ( I think that was the model) around 400$ new. The X10i is a lot more comfortable so small I cannot tell they are in my ear and sound better than Shures. I also like my 3 RF7IIs across my front soundstage. Seamless and the best sounding towers I have owned. I really think anyone who says Klipsch sounds harsh has a room problem...get room treated. BTW got a great deal on the X10is less than 250$ a pair. Wife has a set also. Rock on Klipsch

Well, got two calls while riding today, one when I was going around 15mph, and sound quality was great. Still like them a lot.
