Default Is 25ft HDMI too long?

I bought a new desktop with a BD drive and HDMI out. I want to take HDMI from the desktop to a 42in Plasma on the opposite wall. running the HDMI won't be a problem I'll just hide it in the drop ceiling. The longest HDMI cable I've had is 6ft so is 25 asking too much from an HDMI cable?
    L2W you will be missed.

If you buy it from www.monoprice.com they ensure that they will pass the 1080p test.

Depends on the application, but in many cases no, 25 ft is not too long at all.. I know people with runs of 35-50 ft. with no dropout issues at all. They have cables with built in repeaters/equalizer.. But that will probably not be necessary for only a 25 ft cable.. They sell 22awg 25ft. HDMI cables at monoprice for like $27...It should do just fine..

I have used two 35 footers and never had a single issue. I am now using 25 footers and of course they work fine to. I even had an Onkyo 607 pushing the signal with no issues. I have competely taken my HDMI SuperBoosters out of the equation.
