    Default A Bug’s Life—Walt Disney/Pixar (Blu-ray) HomeTheaterMagazine

    PIXAR DOES IT AGAIN

Embark on an incredible journey with one little ant as he searches for a brave band of warriors to help him battle the bullying grasshoppers who threaten his home. When he stumbles on a bumbling troupe of circus bugs instead, their only hope for victory is the bond of friendship and the awesome power of imagination.

Pixar’s second feature film finds its way to Blu-ray in stunning form. A loose adaptation of Seven Samurai, A Bug’s Life is often pandered as one of the weaker Pixar films. I’ve never understood this standpoint as the film showcases an amazing sense of story, character and animation. Pixar continues to be one of those rare studios that just always seem to amaze and each story stands strong on its own. This Blu-ray also comes with some movie money toward the admission of their upcoming theatrical release of Up.

I think this is one of the few PIXAR's productions I didn't see ?? don't know why, maybe because I was disappointed in ANTZ and thought this would just be more of the same?

I love this movie! Actually, I love all Pixar movies! I have been waiting and waiting for more Pixar classics to come out and this will definetly tame my appetite for a while. Im picking this up as soon as Hastings (my local movie, music, video game, book, and magazine store which I love!!) opens!

I remember this was the first DVD that was transferred digital to digital. It was amazing back then, and I'm sure it's mind blowing now.

    Rizz, ya gotta see it.
Antz was a Woody Allen movie, so if you don't care for Woody's angsty bumbling then you were right to give it a miss. A Bug's Life is an ensemble piece with excellent story, characterisation and some laugh out loud bits.

Actually I'm a big Woody Allen guy, I used to run into him in the City every once in a while (he's regular street people) on the East side you could walk right past him and not know who he was. It's just that I didn't appreciate ANTZ ( Dreamworks ) can't put my finger on why but it just didn't do anything for me. I will rent Bugs just for a view and I'll probably add it to my animation collection if it's good, I wish PIXAR would release The incredibles, that was another great animation with an amazing sound track.

First off let me say how much I love every Pixar movies, and this one is one of the best. I got my copy and my wife and I watched it last night on our Kuro and all I can say is WOW! Yet again another excellent blu-ray transfer from Pixar. This one has probably some of the best pq I have seen yet! Fantastic color and very, very 3 dimensional! The sound is excellent too. One of my favorite blurays so far!!! Even better is that it came with a code that you can use online and print off a free movie ticket to Pixars new movie UP, which we are dieing to go see on the 29th!! I can't wait!!

Now you've twisted my arm, I've got to see this feature, Thx. And UP looks exciting, I just don't know how they'll transfer that process to Blu?
