Default The official thread of the World Champion Phillies

Well I guess some things will never change The Phillies lost another Home opener they are getting close to leading all teams in this category I just hope its not a sign of things to come. How about Brett Meyers this makes three years in a row he loses the opener.I saw his interview and simply stated he says and I quote-"I dont want to do it anymore,I dont" is that funny or what hey Brett just win knucklehead just win... .

Not Bad, along way to go though, but I think the Braves will make some noise this year.

What was amazing is the Braves bullpen walked in 5 of those runs.

I thought this thread was long overdue for a post,The Phightens have really turned up their game after a great series out in L A they are in the midst of a really good one in N Y . Game 2 just ended and the Phils won in the 11 th inning on a homer by all star second baseman Chase "World F'ing Champions" Utley. Chase leads all star ballots by over one million votes and our best pickup in recent history Ibanez is now in first place in his respective position for the allstar balloting, he also reached twenty homeruns faster than any other Phillie , ever. It's real nice to have J C Romero back we need his help big time, I believe the Phillies are in dire need of another starting pitcher before the trade deadline. The Philadelphia Phillies, World Champions, Best road record in baseball and making Philly fans happy again. Baseball is " America's Game ".

Sounds good Sawz, now if the Phillies could just find a way to quit losing series to the Braves.

Good morning War,I think the next time they meet it just might go a little different.I really believe the hunger and drive to win is taking over this ballclub. The Phillies just cant coast as champs they need to battle every game to come out on top , the caliber of players are not such that breezing thru will do it they must grab all the intestinal fortitude they can mustar up.I missed Harry Kalas so much it made the games unbearable to watch but like all hurts time helps heal so I am back to watching and with the other issues going on not reaching a major meltdown yet I have found some time to hit up the forums a little bit so I hope to chill a bit more with all you guys.

Phillies win 6-3 , I love playing the Mets they look so confused at times.

I think the Mets will be fighting in the locker room tonite and I'm sure it wont be long before the manager is GONE.

Phillies are 4 games out in front now, bring on the Red Sox...

Days where the Mets have to add a loss to their record is a good day in my book.

Phillies went 9 and 1 in this recent home stand prior to that they were 1 and 8 in their homestand excellent turnaround IMO.We go into the Allstar Game very hot right now and J-Roll is coming around,JA Happ looking good too. The outfield in the Allstar game will be all Phillies pretty impressive. I hope the big kid Ryan Howard has a good nite tonite in the Homerun derby however he is up against some fierce competition.I want to add that we prolly will sign Pedro since Halladay would cost us too much they want Kyle Drabek,Michael Taylor and Lou Marson all our top prospects at their respective position picher outfield and catcher.Phillies are 4 games up on the fish 6 games up on The Braves 6 1/2 games up on the mets and 22 1/2 up on the nats.I hope everyone is enjoying baseball as much as I am right now and hey just two weeks until The Eagles report to Lehigh.

Aren't the Phillies pretty much where they were last year going in to the break, record wise?
By the way, I've got Howard in the HR derby tonight!

Phillies pitch a combined one hitter last night against The Fish and Raul I. hits two Homers, Ryan is the fastest to two Hundred homers, all is well with the Phightens, Phil's win 4 to 0.
Tonite Cole Hamels gets the start and we really need him to WAKE UPI really hope we sweep the fish for a seven game lead on them..
