Default 2010 Topps Series I Baseball Cards

Anybody collect cards here? Topps has a good promotion right now. Check out http://www.toppscards.com.

Anyways, it's been years since I've collected, but I wanted to try and collect a set with my daugther. Packs are about $1.75 and there are a lot of cool inserts.

I have a bunch of late 70's all the way up to early 90's cards. Probably have quite a few worth something but haven't looked in years!

I haven't collect cards in years. I heard they aren't worth what the used to be... I have tens of thousanded of baseball, football, basketball cards, in my parents attic. I also used to collect starting line ups and other stuff. I wish I knew what the stuff was worth now though. I'm sure I have some cards that are worth some dough.. I know I have a babe ruth, willie mays, hank aron, and older cards I got from my aunt and uncle..

No, not yet. It's going to take more than five packs to pull one, which is what I bought with my daugther last week. It's still exciting to open a pack though. After all these years.

Yeah, it's still fun to walk into a card shop (if you can still find one) and get some packs of cards. I may even subscribe to Beckett again.

I haven't been in a card shop in over 14-15 years. lol I always found Beckett more accurate for market value back in the day. Tuffstuff was always higher then the market value. Is there any market in cards anymore???

I really don't know. I just started reading up on it again. I remember looking at Tuff Stuff and being stoked on a card, only to realize it was inflated by 75%, haha!

Man - I got tons also. Just sitting in multiple TOPPS card cases. I have some pretty nice cards. I haven't looked at them at all in probably over 20 years.
I have basketball (NBA & ABA), NFL, MLB. OH yeah - and some Kung Fu cards. LOL

Now the market is in Certified Professionally graded cards which are graded and sealed in a slab. I have a pristine Wayne Gretzky Rookie valued at $350.00 ungraded if I get it graded and sealed It would probably be valued at about $750.00-800.00

This is dating myself but as a kid in the early fifties we used to buy baseball cards with the gum in the packs Topps was the more expensive brand at .05 a pack for ( I believe it was ) 5 or 8 cards with a piece of hard as a rock bubble gum. I was a Brooklyn Dodger fan and my friend Frankie was a NY Yankee nut and to piss him off I would put all my Yankee rookies ( Mantle and Maris) in my bicycle spokes for that motor bike sound. Now those Mantle rookies are worth about 12G's each I even had a 52 Bowman Mantle rookie ( they were the cheaper brand .03 cents a pack ) and now one on the hardest to find Mantle rookie and probably the most expensive, What an asshole I was he used to put his in an album and forget the comic we had, man I had to stacks that were almost 4' tall and all in excellent condition. I could buy my self on of those $185,000 Audi's now.
