    http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/...ory?id=4655884

Speaking with the media after UFC 105, White indicated the heavyweight champion is very ill and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. He went on to state that an interim title match might need to be set up.

I guess we will be seeing an interim bout for the title soon. My guess is if Valesquez wins his fight coming up, the title fight may be between him and Carwin.

BISMARCK, N.D. -- UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is suffering from a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract.
UFC president Dana White spoke with Lesnar on Monday and said he could be released from the hospital soon. Asked if he was in a Bismarck hospital, White said, "I think he is," but did not want to say which hospital because he wanted to protect Lesnar's privacy.
White said he is encouraging Lesnar to check into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for further treatment.
White also said he does not know if the 32-year-old South Dakota native will fight again.
Bismarck's St. Alexius hospital said Lesnar was not a patient there. The other hospital in the city Medcenter One, would not confirm or deny he was there.

Last night on their newscast, WCCO reported that a source had told them that Lesnar is suffering from diverticulitis, which is a swelling of an abnormal pouch or pouches in the intestinal wall, which if they tear can lead to stool spilling out from the colon into the abdominal cavity, causing infection. Diverticulitis is a common disease in the elderly. It is found in over half of American's over the age of 60 according to Google Health.

I'm not updating over at HDF anymore, it's too much work to keep tabs on both sites, so check here for your SOBAY MMA news.

Besides, we end up saying the same thing to each other on two different sites, LOL!

I like HDF and have great friends there, but I talk MMA mostly with you and WAR and other people here...so that's why I'm updating news and fight cards here.

Damn, this is exactly what I have been dealing with for the past 5 months.

    Intestinal problems.
I feel bad for him if he is dealing with the same thing I have been.
    This crap is awful.
    Mis-diagnosis after mis-diagnosis.

Having massing pain, bloating, cramping all the time.
I had such pain that I could barley walk, and ended up in the Emergency room.
X-rays showed I was slightly backed up, so I had to drink 4 liters of colyte colon flush, then the problems did not stop even though I was empty.

So they gave me some pills and reffered me to a gastroenterologist.

The specialist thought it could be a colon polyp, so I had to get a colonoscopy. But colon scope came back ok overall but slight retention was found and my colon looked like a deflated ballon he said.

So he gave me some librax and said to see if that helps. It didn't things got worse.

Next, he thought it might be diverticulitis.
So I did a CT-scan and the scan showed no diverticulitis.

Then the doc asked me to try a drug called Xifaxan, which breaks down in the intestines instead of the stomach, and kills bacteria.

After taking the drug for about 3 days, I was feeling great.
This drug is an anti-biotic, so after 10-days, I had to stop taking it.
After 4 days off the medicine, the problems came back.

So I called the doc and he said that it was great news that I responded to the xifaxan because it gives him a new idea of what might be going on.
He had me take the Xifaxan for 2 weeks again, and I felt great for that time.

But last week, I stopped taking the xifaxan again, and am now hurting again.

I have to schedule another appointment with the specialist, so we can get me started on a treatment, because he says that this sounds like a serious bacteria infection or overgrowth.

If Brock has this crap (whatever it is), I really feel for him.
IT literally ruins your life and you cant enjoy anything. You are constantly thinking about how bad your bowels feel.

Damn this whole thing is kinda crazy. I am dying to know what will happen next with the ufc heavy weight belt, and what will happen next with Lesnar. I mean is this a career ending thing or what.

There are rumors going around that he may never fight again! But they are only rumors, time will tell I guess.

“He (Brock) had a hole in his intestine,” (Dana) White said. “The (stuff) was leaking into his stomach. That’s what was causing him so much pain. That and he had abscesses.
