I knew Jens would lose again. He should have retired a few fights ago. Torres fight was a surprise. Bowles' injury was a let down. Cruz is f'n annoying to watch.

Fan favorite, Jens Pulver, was subbed via an armbar in the first round. 'Lil Evil grimaced as his arm was stretched by Vazquez. Pulver didn't officially announce his retirement but thanked the fans and Dana White for all of their support.

Joseph Benavides won the first round on the cards and cut Miguel Torres' head badly with an elbow in the second round. Benavides then secured a deep guillotine choke on the bloodied former champ and Torres tapped out.

In the main event, challenger Dominick Cruz and Brian Bowles fought the first round mainly on their feet with Cruz using his quickness to his advantage by outlanding Bowles. Cruz stunned the champ with a right hand but Bowles landed a few of his own punches which got the challenger's respect. The second round was more of the same with Cruz securing a take-down and landing quick shots on Bowles. Suprisingly, the fight was stopped by the referee after the second round. Bowles was unable to continue due to injury. The former champion disclosed in the post fight interview that he may have broken his hand (early in the first round). The crowd was obviously disappointed in the outcome of the main event as they booed the new champion. To his credit, Cruz praised the former champion and admitted that he was stunned by some of his punches. Rematch anyone?!

"Countdown to UFC" is on Versus right now. The main event is Brandon Vera vs. Jon "Bones" Jones. The undercard features Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga. Can't wait for this one!!

Bones Jones is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC, he's got crazy skills. But Vera isn't a push over either. Should be a great fight, I'll find somewhere to watch it! Hopefully!!
