    Default Brock is back!

    http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/brock-is-back-44866

One day before America watches fireworks to celebrate their independence, the biggest heavyweight title fight ever will go off in Las Vegas as Ultimate Fighting Championship® heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar returns to defend his heavyweight championship against interim title holder Shane Carwin at UFC® 116: LESNAR vs CARWIN, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday, July 3.
“When people wonder why the heavyweights capture the imagination of all fight fans, it’s because of guys like Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin,” said UFC President Dana White. “Not only are they great athletes and former national wrestling champions, but they both have the ability to end a fight with one punch. This is one of those fights that you won’t be able to turn away from because it can be over in a split second, and when it’s over, only one will walk away as the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion of the world.”
Tickets for UFC 116 are priced at $1000, $750, $500, $300, $200 and $100, not including applicable service charges, and go on sale Thursday, May 13, at 10 a.m. PT at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase at UFC.com, www.mgmgrand.com or http://www.ticketmaster.com/.

Dam, hoping back right into it.. Not even a tuneup fight.. I hope that works out for him.. If he loses, I don't want no BS how he was away for a year. I'm sure he could get a tune up right if he asked.. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it..

No I think you are right on, if he wanted a tune up fight, he would probably have gotten one. But the one thing I would never complain about with Brock is since he started with the UFC he never wanted an easy fight. He first jumped in with Mir, then Herring, Randy, Mir again and now Carwin. All respectable opponents and no easy win to build him up.

Now I hope to see Carwin turn the lights out as predicted by me about a year ago or more. I hope I'm right!!!

GO SHANE GO!!! GO SHANE GO!! Gotta pull for my home state homie. I hope Brock stands at least for 10 seconds with Carwin, that should be enough to have his lights shut off.

WOW, lots of Brock hate going on in here. lol

I actually want to see Brock win, I actually think he will. That dude is so big and quick, he's a freak of nature.. The only thing that has me leaning towards Shane, is the RING RUST Brock is going to have.. Regardless, can't wait for the fight, and I'm sure it will be quick and explosive. lol

you do realize speed as size-wise they are nearly identicle, and Shane is the only fighter that wears larger gloves than Brock.

From what I have seen, I think brock is quicker, as well as, stronger.. I don't by glove size, but I know what you are getting at.. Any how, these two towers will be fighting and when one falls the cage will be hurting.. Brock walks around at over 300 lbs. What does Shane walk around at?? I don't think it's that big?

Lesnar is the bigger man..but not by much. Shane's hands are much better and that may be the difference.

I dont think Brock will keep it standing up anyways. It'll go to the ground and I'd give that to him. Stand up, from the vids I've seen, Shane is pretty tough.

Shane's wrestling is pretty damn good. Don't under estimate him on that, it's as good as Brock's rastlin!

I honestly think, after having a bad case of Mono myself, that Brock will be a little weak for this fight, and lose. It'll make for a good rematch, but I both admire him for taking this fight, and think he screwed up.

Yep, weak and a long layoff is working against him. But Brock has always taken the tough fights. There was no way he'd back down from this one.

And regardless of what people think, I like that. Im fed up with boxing because most of these turds take the easy fights, and Im tired of spending $60 for it.

The last boxing PPV I pruchased was Mayweather vs De La Hoya! I was bored to death watching it. I don't even think I've watch a "fight?" (boxing) since that one. Only MMA for me, boxers have to much say so in who they fight, when they fight. It needs leadership!!

Yeah, Im done. Only other fight Ill buy is Floyd and Pacman, if they fight. I gonna spend the next year or so trying to get into Strikeforce and UFC. I got no problem buying a couple of PPV's a month, but it needs to be entertaining.

I enjoy all of them for the most part, sure there are fights that don't live up to expectations. But it happens in every sport. What I like about MMA PPV's is you get at the least 5 fights and it's almost always the fights with the lesser known guys that are the best.

Yepp. Even the boxing undercards suck now. I paid $65 for Floyd vs Shane, and the whole thing stunk.

Shane walks around right about 300 lbs. As you also stated do not underestimate Shanes wrestling. Just because he wasn't in a Div 1 school doesn't mean shit (look at GSP).

Also what can stop a Frate Trane (inside MMA joke if you don't know,) The Engineer.
