Seriously though, I have no issue with Lesnar, I think he's proved that he is a force in the octagon, but I'm with ya on Carwin, I've been saying it for a year now. When Carwin meets Brock, the champ is goin down.

By the way......the correct term is........WAR DAMN EAGLE!

Whats funny, is if Carwin loses the first one to a guy thats been thru all Brock has in the last 6 months.

I beg to differ.. Brock is a beast.. I haven't followed all of Shanes fights, but who has he fought besides Mir, that was consider a worthy opponet???

Not really.. Who has he beat besides Cro flop?? Yea, he beat up on some subpar fighters..

Who else would you consider good that Carwin has fought??? He hasn't fought the caliber of fighters Brock has...

If it comes down to a stand-up brawl then Shane has a serious advantage. The dude can flat out crack! Brock's hands, though quick for a big man, are nothing special. However, if Brock still has the explosiveness following his illness then watch out! Either way, I'm stoked for this fight!!!

I dont have anything against brock, except that he acts like a complete ass hole, but I am pulling for carwin to beat him. Carwin winning this match up will make the fight much more exciting.

So Brock has lost and then beaten Mir, who was DESTROYED by Carwin, Brock had a lot of trouble with a MUCH MUCH smaller Couture, and Heath is what is known as a "can" someone who used to be good that now gets beat every time they enter the ring/octagon)

Brock has not fought anyone his size with skill, Mir finally just got up to their size and Carwin beat him stupid. Gonzaga also is not one to be knocked out, and look what happened when he fought Carwin, you are not making much of a point when you bring up who they have fought.

Brock Destroyed MIR's face.. Randy is a legend, enough said.. What legend has Carwin Fought??? You keeping going back to gonzaga, he hasnt beat anyone worth a shit.. SO, I don't know how you can't see that.. The point being, Brock has fought better fighters then Carwin.. If you can't see that, then you need to watch some more MMA..

Let's move on. Neither fighter has a storied career as of yet.

The fact is, both will be facing the biggest, strongest (though not most skilled) opponent to date..each other. Will Brock be fully recovered from his illness? Does Carwin have the ability to sustain an effective attack if the fight goes past the first round? Will Lesnar's athleticism lead to a gnp victory or will Lesnar suffer the same KO fate as Carwin's past opponents?

I can't wait to find out!!!

Just a side note, probably have watched more, and continue to watch more MMA than anyone on this board, on top of being a fighter myslef.

I started watching in '93 - UFC 1. I didn't know the sport existed prior to that. I couldn't care less if someone has been watching it more or less than me. That's not what this board is about. We are here to share our interest in the sport. I don't really post anywhere else (aside from very infrequently at sherdog) as I've found this board to have a small but cool group of fellow fans. Let's keep it that way.

Don't blame me for you making a statement like that. The guys on here are really in the know when it comes to MMA. Even though we are a small group or people, and this is not an MMA forum, don't assume the people here don't know much...
