Default Dana White confirms the winner of 'Jackson vs Evans' as Shogun Rua's first title defe

Looks like Dana White is upping the ante for the UFC 114 main event.
The Octagon boss today confirmed that newly-crowned light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua will make his first title defense against the winner of Quinton Jackson vs. Rashad Evans, who collide on May 29 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Shogun" finished what he started in October 2009, getting the better of then-division champion Lyoto Machida back on May 8 during their UFC 113 main event rematch from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
After putting the once seemingly-invincible Machida on ice, Rua now turns his attention to a couple of former Ultimate Fighter coaches -- and ex-UFC light heavyweight champions.

Do you or anyone know how many fights are left on Rampages contract???? What I heard he was sick of fighting and wanted to just do movies if the A-team does well.. Can't blame him, but just wondering how many fights he has left..

Renewed in March for 6 fights, so Rashad is 1 of 6.

Rashad has called out Forest and Shogun as well, saying the Evans fight is just a tune-up to shake the ring rust.

The last time I heard a fighter wanting to get revenge for his defeats was Chuck. At the time he just had to beat Rampage to get even with him. Now that list is a lot longer.

Ya know, and dont forget Im a newbie, after watching Dana on TUF and on interviews, I really like the guy. He seems down to earth, and a freakin straight shooter. He's not afraid to disagree with the judges, and he just calls like it is. I think as long as that guy is around, UFC will have some good direction.
