    - Check Kongo was supposed to fight Roy Nelson, but Check hurt his back.
    - Alessio Sakara was set to fight Nate Marquadt, but pulled out do to the death of his father.
    - Wanderlei Silva had to withdraw from his fight due to cracked ribs. Chris Leban is stepping up just a couple weeks after his last fight and will fight Akiyama.

I'm looking forward to the title fight, and seeing Kendall fight. I'm also curious to see how Brendan is improving. I was really looking forward to Nelson/Congo and seeing Wanderlei fight as well.

A couple years ago it seemed like Leban was in every other UFC didn't it? The man loves to fight. Hopefully he can pull off the upset. Well, I think it would be an upset.

Chris Leben is a crazy dude.

Gonna be a rough weekend, got a hotel room dwtn for Sat night. Going to a bar to eat dinner and drink 9% alcohol beers, then we are heading to see my buddy's band play from 11pm-3am. Gonna get up and drive home in the AM, watch the Prelims and PPV (recorded), then get ready to go to a bar/dock on Mobile Bay for a BBQ and live music from 4pm to 11pm. Oh my liver.

Man, I wouldn't even be able to function on day two of your ordeal! I love the Mobile Bay though. I have only been there once, but it is beautiful.

Oh, Ill be hurting. We see his band play about once per month, and Im usually still drunk when we leave the hotel at 10am :D

It's nice out there, this bar is on the river side of I-10, and it's up by a marsh. Very cool deck and cold beers.

My wife was born in Mobile. She took be out there before we got married back in 2003. It was the first time I've really been away from Los Angeles, with the exception of trips up and down the coast and to parts of AZ and Vegas. Anyways, I loved visiting ou there.

It's a cool town, and I was born and raised here. I took it for granted, and was away the last 4 years. Moving back makes me enjoy it and my buds.

Haha. We'll all meet here on Wed, after we get out of the ICU, and discuss the fights.

    LOL!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/...ory?id=5343197

"This decision was pretty simple," White said. "Vuvuzelas make the most horrific sound I've ever heard. I'd rather let Brock punch me in the face than hear 15,000 people blow on those things.

So who is going to win? Lesnar or Carwin? Man, this one is tough to predict. Even though Lesnar is a beast, I almost want to go with Carwin on this one due to his ability to finish with a KO. But can Lesnar get KOed? His chin looks like a immovable object. If Lesnar can sit on Carwin and ground and pound, then it goes to Lesnar, but its going to be tough to get Carwin in that position. I would have gone Lesnar all the way if Carwin didn't beat up Mir so easily.

I'm going with Lesnar. I'm not buying into the UFC Carwin stands a chance crap.. I don't think Carwin can handle the power Lesnar has..

Depends on Brocks game plan. Stand up, he goes to sleep, ground, looks good from him.

I don't know about that.. Don't buy the UFC hype cool-aid they are selling. Brock has some power too. Carwin, isn't that impressive to me..

I agree, but I did go back and watch replays of both fighters. Carwin can drop bombs, but if Brock gets you on the ground, he moves around like a spider and just smothers people. I think Brocks smart fight is to not trade blows with another heavy hitter, unless he wants to become Brock Liddell and wear his chin out.
