Velasquez saw this and used this to his advantage in this fight. The first round of this fight was very similiar to the first round of the Carwin fight. Once Lesnar got punched hard in the face, he started getting very defensive. Velasquez just didnt make the same mistake that Carwin made by throwing random bombs to gas himself out. He picked his punches and let the fight come to him. Lesnar is going to have to have people keep punching him in the face in his next camp until he no longer fears it otherwise I think all the heavyweights will now use this against him.

I've now watched the fight 6 times and not only did he get defensive, he looked scared. And I agree with you. Velasquez took his time with his punches and that was one of the keys with the fight. Deep down Lesner knew this was going to be his toughest opponent. I think that's why he came out trying furiously to end the fight as fast as he could. I was shocked how easily Velasquez got back up. Man what a great fight!!!! Sure humbled Lesner real quick.

It's funny that you said that because my girlfriend said the same exact thing. I watched the fight 6 times and if it was scripted, it would of lasted longer. Besides after watching the punches lesner took over and over, there was no way in hell Brock was getting up. He destroyed him. He didn't even look confident before the fight. That killer instinct was missing in his eyes.

Best fight of the night was the Welterweight bout: Diego Sanchez vs. Paulo Thiago. Man that was fantastic.

no doubt.. Awesome fight.. Diego looks like the Diego of old.. He is one weird man, lol.. I always like Diego, it sucked when Bj ripped him apart..
