The 'Into the Future' album by the Canadian band Black Mountain. AMAZING album. If you like hard rock/70's Black Sabbath-style metal mixed with a bit of neo-psychedelia, folk, and ambient, it is a must-hear album. I'm blown away by it. It was released about 1.5 years ago but I just recently heard it for the first time.

Old school rave anthems was the title of the album! Its got a bit of everything in it, prodigy, Altern-8 and Ratpack . I like the happy hardcore sound the best, it brings back some great memories from back in the day!

Ahh, I noticed you're from Manchester so you probably know more about it than most. I got into old school rave stuff through early jungle and Chicago house in the mid-90's so I completely missed the old stuff. I was big into the scene from around 1995-98. Good memories, alot of them hazy.

I was never really into happy hardcore, I preferred gabber but that's just me. I do remember seeing Trixxy once and the floor went NUTS, that was a fun party. 500 people rolling like crazy + happy hardcore = insanity

I know what you mean, they were great days! I have heard a little bit of gabber, it was pretty hard stuff! I used to go to Bowlers warehous most of the time and i went to a Fantazia new years eve all-nighter. That was one of the best nights i have ever had, i was there with the whistle and glow sticks loving it! The atmosphere was so good though, everyone was just out for a good time, there was never any trouble. Damn i wish i could go back!!
