Arrow Nintendo: No Wii price cut this holiday season

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said today that they will not drop the price on the Wii console this holiday season, instead choosing to bundle software or accessories as a way to entice new buyers.

When asked about a possible price cut, Iwata said: "Of course, we cannot say it will never happen, but we are not thinking of it for the near future."

Have yet to buy the move.. probably will as my daughter gets older and wants to play more PS3... LBP has been a big hit for awhile now with her.. and LBP2 is only a couple weeks away. Still the Wii has more games her speed.

I'm not surprised by the lack of price drops... nintendo didn't exactly make alot of money this past quarter...sales of DS(x) have been dropping.

I like our Wii. I do not play often, and only have sports games, so its fun to fire up every now and then.
