Nintendo Oct. 21 said it is adding Hulu Plus, 3D video recording functionality and exclusive 3D video content to the 3DS and Wii game players.

Redmond, Wash.-based Nintendo is aggressively upping games and features to the 3DS after poor sales of the sequel to the popular DS system forced the company earlier this year to cut retail prices and downgrade sales forecasts.

In addition to Huluís SVOD platform (which requires a $7.99 monthly subscription) earmarked to rival Netflix streaming especially in the availability of repurposed TV programming, Nintendo is bowing an online game channel, in addition to a multiplayer feature for the Mario Kart 7 edition.
