So glad you love Kevin's "Dances." Am a huge Kevin fan. Have been so since the mid-80's. Don't give a chit what the "haters" think. I love "me" my Kevin.

Got this. Stunning in hi-def. Still have trouble watching the spots where the wolf/horse are........well, you know what happens to them. BTW, Kevin actually bought the horse, Cisco, for himself.

Hey, I just watched "Unstoppable" with Denzel and Chris Pine. What a ride!!!

And my Sammy 1400 finally "died" two weeks ago. So sad. I was hoping to take it to my grave. (Which, at my age, could be any day! HA!

)

Bought a Sammy C-5500. WOW! Had no idea a disc could load in just a few seconds. grins. I used to start loading my 1400, go do some laundry, come back and it would usually be ready. HA! I'm so thrilled that I bought another C5500 for 40" HDTV downstairs. (Since I don't connect to the internet for FW updates, I still burn CDs. Am wondering about these .ruf files for the 5500 instead of the .iso files I got adept at transferring for the 1400. Sigh. Hope my first FW update will go well. Hope. Hope. More hope. grins.)

The prices have really come down since I paid an arm, a leg and my first born child for the Sammy 1400 in 7/07. Wow. I paid less for cars that I've owned. HA!

So no more 1400. Sniff. Since we "met" on the 1400 boards, I so wanted you, Mr. Barney, to know. grins.

Hey buddy. I'm still enjoying the soundtrack for Dances with Wolves. Sorry to hear about old unfaithful/unreliable BDP-1400. I was pissed last time with it, when it wouldn't load one of my favorite chick flick Forever After

Glad to hear you've joined us in the 21st century! The .ruf files aint nothing new. I bought that horrendous of the BD player, Profile 1.0 Grace Period

, back on 9/2007. If you recalled, FW 1.1 was in .ruf format (and I may still have it if you need it

).

If you have any problems with the Samsuck BD player (wished you would have came to me before you bought the piece of junk, so I would have recommended a real BD player), I'm sure one of the guys in the Samsung BD player thread can help. I'm not sure if your new play toy has a USB port. But my recommendation is to burn the .ruf, .iso, .bin, or what ever file format your player needs onto a dumbdrive to upgrade. Save the landfills from all of the junk CD-Rs. Course you can always use them as coasters for our AA meetings.
