Thread: ? on video calibration dvd disks

I have the 500m and planning later to hopefully get the patch and poss. calibration.Right now i have the HD dvd cal. disk DVE i believe.I'm also planning on getting the stans&musial BD disk.I have a tosh xa2 and the PS3 for BD.How do i go about using these disks since 1 is HD and the other BD.Or do i just use 1.I mean do i use the hd with the tosh and calibrate at whatever 500m pic settings i have for the tosh and the do the same with the PS3?Hope i dont sound too confusing.I've never tried using these disks before.Just trying to find out how to use them.thanks

You can download the AVS HD709 calibration disc from the other forum: it's free of charge, works well and comes in HDDVD format as well. DVE, on the other hand, will be fine for your PS3.

You shouldn't copy settings from the PS3 to the XA2 cause players tend to behave differently from each other with regards to gamma and color performance. A tailor-made calibration would be best for each player you own.

I currently have the dve hd dvd,which i need to learn how to use and have ordered the S&M BD.
