Runco Q-750i or keep my Vidikron Vision 75??

Hi all,

Would you keep a Runco RS-1100/ultra (Vidikron 75) or go for the Q-750. I can get one a t a very good price. However, I am worried that in a room lacking complete light control it might not shine to its fullest.

My wife is still active duty and we move every two years or so. The "calibrated" numbers from the Q and the 75 are close, but the Q is lower.

Any ideas?

If I knew anything about projectors I would give you my input, but I sure don't.

I know far less about projectors than you, so I doubt I can give any useful advice. Robert Zohn is the man whose comments you'd really want, I think.

Since you asked, it does seem to me that, all else being held equal, light output is very important for a projector. I guess if I were fully happy with the picture quality of the Vidikron and it put out noticeably more light, I'd be inclined to stick with it. Even in rooms that are fully light-controlled, the differences in brightness have greatly affected the theater experience for me.
