Default Van Halen & Roth reunite 2012 tour!

Yeah, yeah. I know. But, Van Halen was the bomb while Roth was lead singer. So, guess they're having a tour in 2012 and Roth is on lead. I also heard ( I thought ) that a new song was gonna premere on January 10th. It's possible I heard incorrectly, but I swear I heard that today on satellite radio.

Roth was the only good lead IMO.

Yeah! He was a royal pain in the ass and had an ego the size of Texas - but, they totally rocked with that original lineup. I was able to see them with him and they ruled. I also saw them with Hagar...it just felt totally different.

    They fuqin deserve each other.

Admittedly, nothing will surpass that first album, but Van Hagar did some quality stuff.

Yeah - I mean, the music was good with hagar...but it didn't sound like the Van Halen I knew. Of course, that's just a preference. Dude...Vlad. The first one? Man....how about the first 3 or 4? Outstanding music. Even Woman and Children First rocks....

    OK - I'm biased.....

I had the first Halen within a week of it being originally released. Halen II was good but not as good as the first. Them Women and Children then Fair Warning had some decent tunes, but the number of good songs per album were definitely declining.

You guys are forgetting Atomic Punk. Roth and Van Halen done a tour in 2010 with Eddie's son on Bass cause Micheal Anthony got tired of Eddie's shit and wanted to work and he plays with Hagar who has actually worked even without Van Halen.

I like and own Halen's early stuff too and a song or two of Van Hagar. I like Hagar's early stuff better than his Van Halen stuff though. Three lock box and Standing Hampton are good albums. However, with me the luster has worn off of Eddies playing. I saw footage of him playing in their 2010 tour and he is no Satriani or Vai. Not even close. In fact at this point I am not even sure if he is up to Dweezil's level. Maybe I am totally wrong but I think too many drugs and too much booze, and not enough playing have taken their toll on his talent.

Man I never tire of this concert. I have to go see this live.

Not the same without Michael Anthony. He WAS the backup vocals for that band.

You're absolutely right. I actually forgot that he jumped ship and is now in Chickenshack.

Yep and he is one helluva bass player as well. I saw Van Hagar on their 5150 tour and Micheal done a solo and made a bass guitar do shit that I didn't know was possible with a bass. I think the best thing that ever happened to Micheal Anthony was he left Van Halen to work with Sammy.
