I think you will be OK since your fronts are in the wall. With them being set at 120hz, I tried the sub at maybe 130hz because of roll off, that way you are covered. I was running my small fronts/center at 100hz and the sub at 120hz until I bought some bigger speakers.

Actually all of them are in ceiling speakers

Does my center and mains have to be the same? They all are the same brand and have the same size woofer except the center is 125 watts and mains 75 watts.

No, part of what audyssey takes into account is how the speakers perform in your room.

How about without Audyssey? The standard?

Well, only decent way of I know to do it without is set the xover for each speaker in it's limits, and then adjust trim levels with a spl meter.

Even with large speakers like I have, I still prefer THX by setting fronts and center at 80hz, and then letting my sub cover up to 120hz on the LFE channel. For small speakers, 90 to 100hz is a good point to try because a 5.25" or 6.5" woofer cant handle 80hz well at times. Let the sub do it.

So in my case the speakers that are set to 120, and 90 have more bass and anything below that the sub takes care of it. Same as if all the speakers are set to 80 that would mean less bass to the speakers and more to the sub?

Whatever a certain speaker is set too, any bass below that xover number is diverted to the sub/LFE channel. So anything below 120 on the fronts goes to the sub, and anything below 90 on the center goes to the sub. This will cause some directionality in the bass, but its better than making ceiling speakers try and play 80hz I bet

And you generally wanna set your sub to 120hz, because the LFE channel can go that high. I dont agree with setting all speakers at 80 including the sub if you can, because you may miss 80-120 in the LFE channel.

On my HSU, I have it's on board xover set to OUT, which is bypassed, and the marantz xover set to 120hz for LFE. Since my klipsch are large, I have the center and fronts all set at 80hz in Audyssey.

I also have my Hsu on OUT and LFE on AVR to 120. Audyssey has my speakers all set to small at different crossovers.

Sounds good so far. Give it some listening and see what you think. Just remember, with Audyssey correction, you can increase a xover from what it set it as (90 to 100), but you cannot decrease it and Audyssey continue to work correctly.

Audyssey sets my big klipsch fronts to large and 40hz, I set them to Small and 80 after running it

How come my Hsu sounds localized? When watching a movie I can hear the bass in the room but at the same time my left ear kinda rings and the location of the sub is noticeable.

Anything about 80hz is easy to note direction, so I can imagine with your fronts and center set high, its not hard to have that problem. When I had small fronts and a center at 100hz, I had the same issue, but it was better than letting the small speakers try and handle 80hz cranked up.

My center is 80, mains is 120 and surrounds 90. Should I just manually bring down the 120 and 90 and set to 80? I know it will be against Audyssey calibration.

Try it and see what you think. Pick a good scene, and watch it over and over, comparing each. Thats usually what I do.

I could not see any difference between 80 and 120hz. Its sounded the same.

Below are the results for the subwoofer crawl I did. Playing from 20 to 80hz tracks. I picked as 1st place the side between the fireplace and components and 2nd place the sofa side by the fireplace. Is this correct?

The couch by the door on the door side:

    68,68,66,75,75,71,66

The sofa side by the door:

    68,74,66,72,67,64,60

    The sofa side by fireplace:

    75,76,70,72,70,64,64

The side between fireplace and components:

    76,76,73,73,73,66,60

    Original placement:

    76,72,71,75,64,64,66
