Default Samsung Galaxy S cell phone

Ahhhhhhh! The wife has a Samsung Galaxy S cell phone. Couple years old...OK, maybe 1. All of a sudden, it has no sound. It doesn't ring, no tones when you click stuff, when you power on and off - no swhoosh sounds. Hell, you can't even hear the other person on the other end of the line.

WTF!!! We've powered it on and off - and just by random chance...sound again. Then...not. Pulled the battery, put back in...powered up. Nothing. No, no settings are wrong. No, we didn't say silent, or any other horseshit. Just all of a sudden - this is what is happening.

Anyone have ideas? No - the phone has not been dropped, exposed to moisture or anything else. Perfect condition.
    Anyone?

It's a Droid. Could easily be a firmware level bug. What you are describing is pretty common. Take it into a store and have em look at it. A factory reset could fix it.

Google how to factory reset the phone you have. You will lose all your data when you do that.

That may fix it. If not take it into a store. I had to factory reset my EVO today because the power/lock button quit working. Was just a firmware bug.

Well - just did hard reset.

So, now we have a phone with nothing on it and it still has no sound. Piece of shit.

Gonna have to roll into a store. Hopefully you have phone insurance.
