The epik's are so small, I can get em easily in my two hotspots on each side of the tv stand. Would look cool as hell. With duals subs, does it leave more headroom? Would two subs have to work less hard than one sub, or does not that factor in.

Well more head room is what makes a sub not have to work as hard, so both questions you are ask basically the same question. I mean yes dual subs will gain you a bit more head room, but it depends on the sub. Lets say that one epik reaches peaks of say 110db, and when you add a second you should see a peak of 113db. Now if you have an SVS that is hitting peaks of 118db, then theoretically the SVS is going to have more head room and not have to work as hard.
The real question is how much headroom do you need?? I mean does your HSU strain at all during use?? Where is the gain set?? If you are not pushing your HSU then you are still adding a ton of head room with the dual epik's.
Look at my situation for instance, I have small room and a big ass sub. My gain on the sub is about 3/8 of the way up and my sub level in my pre-pro is at -3db, so I have a shit load of head room. If I were adding a sub I wouldn't be looking at adding more head room as I already have plenty. What I would be looking for is sound quality and like I said before getting a flat response down to at least 16hz. For me adding a second sub would be just be to smooth things out.
Seriously maybe you need to start looking at return policies, and return shipping. That way you know what it would cost you to get both the Rythmik and the Epik's in your room so you can judge for your self. I mean think about it, if you end up blowing say $200 for return shipping, it might be worth it for you considering the amount you are spending and that ID subs are such great deals anyway. Plus you are buying a piece of mind. Now only you can determine if that is worth it to you or not.
I mean this is really a close call, both are terrific sub's I mean you have the high output capabilities of the Rythmik, but with Epik you have the ability to have dual sealed subs hitting 12hz at 98db, I mean that is truly impressive!! and being sealed that bass is going to be tight.

Thats a good call on auditioning each. My Hsu is set at around 10 oclock gain, and +3db on the marantz. I dont think it bottoms out at all, I just think I want something that pressurizes the room better.

So with that said, between what you are looking at, try to get them in home cause I think both will pressurize the room just fine. Honestly I think if you have both in the room doing some A/B testing it will come down to which sounds the best.

Yeah, I don't think any of them are bad choices, even the VTF15h.

Yeah or two vtf15h's!!!

Haha. If I put two of those, or two FV's, or to PB's in this room, my wife would kill me.

Have you seen this vid, really gives you an idea of how big they actually are. He says he is playing 10-19hz test tones!

Yeah, thats nezff on AVS and HTS. He is one that kinda drew me into the Klisch speakers I have. I love his room. Those are monsters.

I was pretty surprised when the SVS and FV15 out db'd the 750 down low, but its got more juice up higher. It seems like subs have to do one better than the other. 16-50, 0r 50-125.

Yeah me too, however they take care of the issue's from what I have heard. I think it is just QC, I mean some of their drivers appear to be among the best. After all I have read I think I would still do business with them, they have some bad ass entry level subs!! I mean come on the a2 300 for $415 is allot of sub from the money, and owners rave about them.

The Rythmik amps seem to be nice, they are real proud of the big Panny powercaps, but I know jack and shat about amps. It's a class H, so I had to read some on that. Just efficient really. How the hell do those amps stand up to being inside a sub box?
Thats the 600 watt one.
Woofer also looks nice too
Woofer is aluminum, weighs 30lbs, 12.5 of which is the magnet.
