Motorola Droid (Verizon Wireless) (CNET Review)

Officially announced on October 28 and set for a November 6 release, the Droid delivers on much of the hype. The display is gorgeous, the Android 2.0 updates are excellent, and the handset is lightning fast, particularly for an Android phone.

i want one but the smart phone plans are just ridiculously expensive. i'd rather not pay $100 per month just for a cell phone.

Yea, when you start throwing on all these data, and internet features, on top of all the other crap it does tend to get pricey

yup. exactly, and if you're going to have the phone you might as well use it to it's fullest.

Looks pretty cool, but I still want an Iphone so bad!!!! (My work pays my cell bills and I am stuck with a BlackBerry Bold)

i had an LG Chocolate but i broke it, so instead of using the $50 deductible i just reactivated my old phone for free.

That is some old school tech by phone standards. At least its not a deadly weapon like SOBAY's Treo

Until someone creates an interface that rivals the iphone, I don't think professionals or prosumers will be impressed enough to make the switch from say a Blackberry or an iphone

i broke down and got one of these on sunday. spent a few days with it and so far i love it. it's my first smartphone... and it's soooooo much more than just a phone.

What's your monthly bill going to look like?? I want one too, but don't want a 175 monthly bill though..
