Nice image, I see the sun's setting on what appears to be a chain of islands. You should try for a shot where the sunsets at the horizon in a spot where the horizon is uninterupted , when the sun is at the perfect moment when it is approx 1/8-1/4 below the horizon Then you get the effect of the sun skimming along the top of the water in one solid line.
Your pictures show a lot thought as far as composition.

Putting my camera in my truck. The next time I pass it, there is a bluff on the Kentucky side of the Ohio river where there is an awesome view of the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. You can see Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky from that point. Hope to remember to take a pic of it.

Here are some pics that I took a few years ago. I lost a hard drive that was not backed up some time back, and I have not been much into photography since. I also need a new camera. These are all from a first gen Digital Rebel and the color one is actually a scanned pic. One is the Old North Church in Boston and the others are just places near me. It looks nice and warm and pleasant in that color pic don't it? NOT!!! it was like -8 that day. lol
