OK so I did this method. But I didn't store the SD card. I coped the files to my hard drive. The TV took about 10 minutes to write the files to the SD card. When I was done, I noticed it created a "user_setup" folder with some files in it.
Then I got the FBr A board swap for my P42ST30 today.
OK so I go get my SD card and copy the files back onto it. I stick it in the TV, it asks for the code, and I enter 2771. It says "copying from SD" for like a quick second then says "unkown error please turn of tv". It even adds a file to the card.
Funny thing is that now I can't even write TO the card. I tried it again starting over to see if I could copy the current SM values to the SD card and I can't even do that now. Before the A board swap, I did it no problem. So I've got the files, I just can't get them onto the TV. The files the TV copied to the SD card are:
eeprom.rom
fake_eeprom
model_id.info
OK
svl_file
So am I screwed??? I KNEW I should've written down the values manually, dammit. Now my picture is all screwy and before it kicked ass...
Anyone got any suggestions? Is it a formatting issue? The SD card is formatted as a standard FAT format which is what the format was when I successfully copied the values to the card in the first place so I wouldn't think that would be the issue. I get no kind of error code at all.
