We can move it from here, but I wanted you to see it because it's very useful for folks with calibrated TV's.
OK so I did this method. But I didn't store the SD card. I coped the files to my hard drive. The TV took about 10 minutes to write the files to the SD card. When I was done, I noticed it created a "user_setup" folder with some files in it.
Then I got the FBr A board swap for my P42ST30 today.

OK so I go get my SD card and copy the files back onto it. I stick it in the TV, it asks for the code, and I enter 2771. It says "copying from SD" for like a quick second then says "unkown error please turn of tv". It even adds a file to the card.

Funny thing is that now I can't even write TO the card. I tried it again starting over to see if I could copy the current SM values to the SD card and I can't even do that now. Before the A board swap, I did it no problem. So I've got the files, I just can't get them onto the TV. The files the TV copied to the SD card are:

    eeprom.rom
    fake_eeprom
    model_id.info
    OK
    svl_file

So am I screwed??? I KNEW I should've written down the values manually, dammit. Now my picture is all screwy and before it kicked ass...

Anyone got any suggestions? Is it a formatting issue? The SD card is formatted as a standard FAT format which is what the format was when I successfully copied the values to the card in the first place so I wouldn't think that would be the issue. I get no kind of error code at all.

    Thank god!

I unplugged it for about 15 minutes, and she fired up.

It was after coming out of the SM and unplugging. Wodner if it just had a brain fart, all seems well?

    Great.

14 blinks is a problem with the infrared remote sensor (IR LED SOS) - part number IC5901.

Hopefully it was just that... brain fart.

Hi and welcome to HDJ Forum. I get the info posted on this thread by buying Service Manuals for US Panasonic Plasmas. Haven't had the chance to get any for the latest 2012 50 Series yet (My sources don't have it still). Also I don't know what's the difference (If any...) between the blinking charts of the European and North American Models. If I can get the info I'll be very happy to post it here. But it might take a while. Sorry.

Shot in the dark, as our latest panel is a 60" ST30 (US model), but we had TWO instances of the standby light flashing 7 times in sequence when the set was fairly new (well - it is still only about 2 1/2 months old!) - in both cases, the panel "reset itself" after I unplugged the power cord & let it Just Sit for a while.

Those two events were on back-to-back daily starts, but the set has powered on fine every since. (Although I DID open an Incident Report with Panasonic - just to be on the safe side.)

My Panasonic Viera TH-L37V10A has died on me. I want to know what the problem and i've been told this is where I would get my answer.
Well the problem is my TV doesnt turn it, the light LED indicates a 3 red blinking light signal, I heard the number of blinks it gives you tells you what the problem is, I dont know what it is.

    please reply asap
    thank you.

    had a TX-P42G10B for 2 1/2 years.
It has developed a fault in that it will not switch on.
After leaving it several hours, overnight it will then switch on.
Had a quick look on the internet for this fault, and it does state that the set has fault codes, blinking red led.
But when it will not switch on it does not have any of the mentioned codes, it just continually blinks green.

the screen seems to turn on, but no display.
its as if its not booting up fully?

    any pointers out there?

Hi! Somone directed me to this board and I can REALLY use the help. My 2 year old Panasonic TC P46C2 is dead. While I was watching it I heard a loud POP and it died. Initally it had 4 blinks, but after unplugging it for a while and plugging it back in it has switched to 7 blinks. I swapped out the SN board (as the service manual indicated the SN board was the failure) but that did not help. I saw on another forum that the P-board could be bad, so I swapped out the board but still no joy.... I recenly saw another sight that the A board could be the culprit, but I really don't want to sink more money in the TV replacing boards if it isn't going to fix the problem. My quesitons are: Could the 7 blink be caused by the A-board? Could the SN board I replaced be bad (it was supposed to be "used but tested" from e-bay). Any other suggestions? I loved the TV when it was working and really hate not being able to use it. Any thoughts, suggestions, or feedback would be appreciated!

I have a TC-P42ST30 that suddenly will not work. It is 14 months old and I am getting the dreaded 14 blinks from the red light. It is as simple as an A board swap? Anyone w/ experience w/ 14 blinks?

Hi everyone. Just found this site via google and hoping to get a little help. I just got hold of a "non working" TH-65PF12UK Panasonic TV. It will not power up and gives 6 blinks on the power light. I didnt see this model in the list so not sure what part is the issue. Would also like help finding a service manual for it. Given how cheap I got this I want to attempt the repair myself so looking for any advise I have fixed other electronics before, but had the manual and parts available, so I dont figure this to be much different.

    Thanks

    Hi all, virgin poster here.
My Panasonic TH-P46G10A (46" Plasma) has failed - 6 blinks of the red led.
    Regarding the helpful post re
    6 blinks Driver SOS 1 SC-Board / A-SC FPC
    SC Energy Recovery Circuit
    A-SC FPC DET

Does that mean I need to replace the SC Board and this other thing referred to? (the A-SA-SC FPC)
    If so what is that?
    Thanks

    Hi BruZZi,

Looks like you run the show around here so hopefully you can help me out.

My first flat screen I ever bought broke this week. It's a TC-P42ST30 which I have loved for the 20 months I've owned it. After about 5 minutes of watching the TV it turned off and started the morse code blinking 14 times. It is connected to a basic surge protector and there were no storms or light flickers when it happened.

According to your earlier post it sounds like I could potentially need a new A Board. I attempted to pull the plug and let sit for 24 hours but I still cannot get the picture back at all, although it does him when I turn it on like it's trying to get a picture.

A local Panasonic Authorized Service Center said that may not be the issue but they will charge me a flat rate of $175 to inspect and repair the TV (plus any parts). What do you think the issue may be?

Should I purchase the ABoard online and attempt the repair myself (I'm assuming it's a simple unscrew of the back and pop out/in the board). Any suggestions for reputable online retailers (or in/around Boston) for Panasonic parts?

    Thanks in advance!

    -ScoGold
