AVJ - I read your PSI numbers with some dismay from up here in Canada. Any trend that the VT is outselling forecasts in the USA does not bode well for Canada at all!! The 65VT50 is still NOT even released in this country!! Although a VERY limited number of sets trickled in last week, the primary release to the major nation-wide retailers was to be May 22. This didn't happen and the date was pushed to June 4. Today I hear that it is even further delayed to now June 15. I know you work in the US market, but have you heard anything through the grape vine that might indicate just what is going on up here in Canada??

They have 2 different supply allocations. Things being delayed in Canada have nothing to do with sales in NA. No worries.

The 65VT50 is available in Canada through independent System Integrators. I would think that Panasonic dealers other
than the big chains would also have stock as well. Get on the phone and call some dealers if you want one ASAP

Indeed, im in Canada and got mine last week, been a while I pre-ordered though

Thanks AVJ! Comforting to know that Mexican VT50 production won't all be diverted to satiate US demand. Just wish someone could shed some light on the reason for the repeated delays here in Canada. Would like to know if the June 15 date is in jeopardy too. I pre-ordered (and paid for!!) the set in late April and the waiting is getting difficult!

Jealous! Yes, there was a trickle of VT50's last week coming into primarily stand-alone B&M stores, so I am assuming you got yours that way. None of the nation-wide chains have stock yet, such as Future Shop (the Canadian equivalent of US Best Buy Magnolia), Best Buy, or Visions. Future Shop has 60 units on order for the Ontario region and these have now been delayed 3 times. Mine is one of those! Maybe when it finally arrives it will have the CMS luminance and un-defeatable edge enhancement issues resolved!!

The GT/VT30 just got an update for v.2.220 any idea what it adds or does.I just checked the Viera connect store and I see no new apps.Thanks

EDIT: Just looked it up on the support site and it says Viera connect support.Hopefully vudu is around the corner..

As someone who is used to reading the Panny Blu-ray player firmware notes, something as non-specific as that generally just means little behind the scenes fixes and updates, no major changes/features added.

I just saw the VT50 pick up a FW update too... can I assume this DOESN'T have the CMS Luminance fix yet?
