    Anyways, congrats on the purchase!
Shiarua, I just want to let you know that you are not the only one who ordered a 55VT30 from VE - so did I! I'm going from a 42'' RPCRT in a studio apartment and I figure 55'' will be plenty big enough. I probably would have ordered a 50VT30 if I could. A 55'' will be great, though. It will look like an IMAX to me.

No, I'll wait until I have it in the new house providing I can get someone to come calibrate it up in northern Michigan.

I will note that at first the 3D made me kind of nauseous but it went away eventually. There is some weird motion watching the 3D as well but I don't know how to describe it, mainly when out of focus objects move quickly in and out of frame. I haven't made any adjustments yet so we'll see what happens down the road.

Does anybody have Ed Johnson's contact information in the case that I have questions regarding the calibration after I receive the TV? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I asked Robert what day it would be delivered if it shipped on Monday. He said most likely on Thursday. That is NY to WI. I hope I get it Thursday :S

I ordered the 55VT30 as well. I talked to Wendy today and she said mine would be shipping tomorrow. D-Nice called me Sunday night and said mine would be calibrated that night. Hoping on Thursday arrival as it's coming to OH from NY.

    Hi All,

We have been calibrating your VT30 sets for some days now. I have done a total of 12. ControlCal at the moment is the only interface that works to implement ISF ccc. For anyone that I have calibrated a set for please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have at 718-274-0236 or email me at kevinm@tweaktv.com. Thanks!

Any chance someone who can properly calibrate the VT30 will be in the Houston, TX area any time soon?

Are you finding that you can use similar settings as a base on those 6 displays? What I have done is pull all settings from the display via ControlCal and then applied it to my new panel, however they did not measure the same and require a re-calibration . ControlCal saves a lot of time though.

The complexity and difficulty of calibrating the VT series this year and the less than spectacular out of the box performance in THX mode leaves me with the impression that most owners who are willing to put up with the lower build quality of the Samsung sets would be better served getting one, as they appear to be relatively easy for even beginner calibrators to master.

Panasonic really needs to re-consider how difficult they have made it to get the peak performance out of their high end TVs.
Here is a master list of calibrators for all areas.....

Remember it is not the size of your equipment but how you use it. I am sure after your equipment is calibrated you will measure up well against anyone else. Just don't play with it too much or you may wear it out early. Good Luck.

I realize that you are the mercy of Panasonic and can only calibrate with the latest firmware that they have provided. However, should this be a concern? Thanks.
Another question - can you save the calibration settings to a USB and reload at a later date if the settings are lost (due to firmware update wiping out settings, power outage, accidental reset, or otherwise)?

The short answer is no you can not save the settings to a USB thumb drive.

Also, power outage or an accidental reset will not change or wipe out the ISF day/Night settings or even hard coded Custom mode settings.

Some firmware upgrades can reset the default setting, but typically not in the locked ISF modes.
