    Default What's everyone's speaker setup?

Just out of curiosity. I have a Pioneer 820 receiver, the Jamo s606 5.0 system, and the velodyne impact mini as my sub.

The next big upgrade for me is either going to be the reciever or the sub, but I doubt it'll be soon since I can't afford it, but it's amazing as-is, so I'll let it be for a while even after I have more money. The Jamo's are wonderful. Very powerful, precise. Loving them.

    What about you guys?

Ummm, not sure what I have, but for future upgrades I plan to get a set of subs Elemental Designs P7-650 and either the Onkyo PA-MC5500 amp or a Krell amp.

Problem I have is I started this new hobby called photography and it can get expensive quick. Not really sure when I'll be getting the future upgrades I want.

    Bruzzi,

When you going to upgrade your rears to Paradigm. Trust me the timber matching is *My God* like.

Unfortunately Paradigm only makes Di-Poles Surrounds and those don't work for me. I thought about getting another pair of Studio 10's to use as my rear speakers but they are too big for my taste (12"h x 8"w x 12"d). After months and months of searching, I decided to get the DefTech PM800 for three reasons:

    1) Sound: "Big" sound for a very small enclosure.
    2) Design: The shape is very similar to the Studio 10's.
    3) Sensitivity: Those tiny speakers are just as loud as my Studio 10's: 89dB

    Bruzzi,

What do you think of these. I've put some thought into going with these as Polk replacements. Would have to go listen to em first though.

Hand over your man card. Sound like my ex-wife with the size of speakers.

As long as your happy that's all that matters.

I just updated my post with my subwoofer. Does that get me my man card back?

I'm very cutting edge. This went really well when I had the full blown rabbit ears sticking up behind my professional panny plasma for the first 3 years I had it (no cable service).

Hey disco do your self a favor and take the plunge I went from polk to Paradigm and have not looked back, it is like having the cotton pulled out of you ears. Which model in the monitor line are you looking at the 7's, 9's, or 11's. I have done lot's of listening to each of those models and can tell you that they are simply amazing for the price. Paradigm's monitor line is legendary for offering allot for your buck. I ran across a couple of great deals earlier today you should check these babies out.

The 7's are about half the cost of what they would be new.
