Thread: My new post disappears

Whenever I post in a thread then go elsewhere,when I come back if I go to new post's my post will not show up until someone else leaves a post after me,it's the same way at other forums, but audioholics your post is displayed where as you can see it right away, now I am not saying we need to be like them,it's just about user friendly convienences, can we get our set-up like that also, I mean if others like that idea. I just like to see all the threads at all times , If I post in two or three and no one else does right away ,then I would like to add something more it's not right there in new posts so I find myself going back to the main forum page and find it that way , how do you guys find the thread ?

I mean it's a new post, although it's mine I would like to be able to click on "new posts" and see the thread, even if no one posted after me.I repeat this is just a thought and never a problem.

It only shows up when a posting, other than your own, is posted. Afterall you know what you just posted, unless your like Junkie who has a tendency to forget shit. lol

I forget shit, always did have to paint by numbers, I like easy, I'm a junkie for goodness sakes.

err, I forgot what we were talking about ?

Its not only my new posts, if I click on to a thread read some then leave, then I go to new posts in a few minutes later, it wont show up there until someone does a new post even if I didnt post.

The site program is assuming that once you open a thread you will read it to the last post, it doesn't realize that you are a casual reader and reading at your leisure. So once you close it, it assumes you've read everything and will not list it again till there is something new posted. So either read the whole thing once you've opened it or quit your bitchin" LOL

Really? That's strange because It was never like that before, was it? As soon as you post something, you should be able to see it ASAP. I think this has happened to me the other night, now that I think about it. Something has changed ever since we've moved to the new server. I don't think this happens all the time.

Is anyone else having this issue? We need more feedback. I'm looking into the settings now, but I gotta tell ya, I've never seen a setting for this.

I looked at every setting I could find. The only thing I found was this option.

Update Thread Views Immediately
Option to update thread views immediately, or once an hour. If you have a large forum, you will probably want to disable immediate updates, since they are quite server intensive.

It was set to no. I changed it to yes. Let me know if this fixed your issue
