Default BREAKING: Nokia to adopt Windows Phone 7 instead of Symbian and MeeGo

This is pretty freaking huge for WP7. Nokia has a huge market in Europe and would make WP7 an instant player. Killer!

Following the news that Nokia CEO, Stephen Elop, had written an internal memo to all staff saying that Nokia were on a 'burning platform' it should be no surprise that an announcement is to follow.

I have been told by a very reliable source that on Friday Nokia will reveal that they have agreed a deal with Microsoft to develop smartphones for the Windows Phone 7 operating system.

I know it's not the popular trend to commend Microsoft on anything..but they have obviously got it right this time..

There were rumors about this for a while. I was also hearing that MS was perhaps possibly buying Nokia or HTC. I guess that's not going to happen. This next year is going to be interesting in the smart phone market and it's a win for all of us. You can never have too many choices.

I never used Nokia, but I always thought their hardware was very good. Esp for the price.
